During July 2008, the Gallup Organization asked 30,589 Colgate alumni to rate their level of engagement with the university. Twenty-four percent responded — 5,902 via the internet and 412 by telephone.*

Review the illustrations on this page for initial findings. You can also download our Fall 2009 Passion for the Climb newsletter, which includes more detailed information, lessons we have applied while planning alumni services and events for the upcoming fiscal year.

Within our data set, there are stories to be told and comparisons to be drawn. You’ll find them posted here throughout the coming months.

*There was no substantive difference in engagement levels by mode of administration (web vs. telephone).  Given the mode and field (July 15-July 29, 2009), a response rate of 24% is regarded as very successful by Gallup.
