Council Programs

During their time on campus, Alumni Council members meet with the University President, and other administrators, faculty, and students.  They receive updates and offer advice on academic, residential, financial, admissions, career and athletic programs, and discuss issues of importance to alumni and the larger Colgate community.

Throughout the year, Alumni Council members partner with the officers of Alumni Affairs, Career Services, the Senior Class Council, the Center for Student Leadership and Involvement, and Greek-letter organizations at various networking receptions, panel discussions, and social functions.

Ongoing Initiatives that Council members actively participate in and support include:

•    Real World – a career planning weekend for Seniors in January
•    Non-government Organization (NGO) Spring Break Program in Washington, D.C. and elsewhere
•    Collaboration with Maroon News to provide Alumni Columns
•    Fraternity Sorority Alumni Initiative (FSAI)

Alumni Council members also act as a resource for alumni participation in on-campus programming.

See the 2008-2009 Meeting Summaries for more information about Alumni Council programs and activities.
