Dear Colgate Legacy Families,
The Office of Alumni Relations invites you to 2012 Explore: A College
Admission Workshop. The workshop is targeted for rising high school
juniors and seniors, who are sons, daughters, and/or grandchildren of
Colgate alumni. I invite you to spend a couple of days at Colgate to
gain further understanding about the college search and selection
process, regardless of schools you are applying to.
The workshop is designed as a service to our Colgate community. Parents and students
will be advised on basics of the college admission process. Colgate
staff members will lead various sessions on topics that include
guidelines for researching colleges, how to prepare for a campus visit,
tips for completing your application, and an in-depth look at the
selection process through a mock-application review. The workshop will
be broad-based, covering selective college admission rather than Colgate
admission specifically.
As you plan your summer travels, please consider joining us on Thursday, August 2 - Friday, August 3, 2012. Lodging in the residence halls will be offered on Thursday evening. Dinner on Thursday as well as breakfast and lunch on Friday are included in your registration. Sign up early since space at the 2012 Explore: A College Admission Workshop is limited. My best from campus,
