Winner of our "Where's your seal" photo contest "I admit, my 1819 Circle seal is actually on my refrigerator. In this age of Photoshop, though, I had to have a little fun. The gnome in the photo lives at my favorite vacation spot in northern Wisconsin. The day this photo was taken, he did actually have something hanging around the top of his head. The 1819 Circle is Colgate’s new consecutive giving society. It recognizes alumni who have made a gift to Colgate in each of the past three consecutive fiscal years. Colgate's fiscal year runs from June 1 through May 31. How do I qualify for membership in the 1819 Circle this fiscal year? You can only qualify for FY10 membership if you make a gift before May 31, 2010 and have already supported the university in FY08 and FY09. Do I need to make a gift each year to remain a member of the 1819 Circle? Yes! What if I miss a year? Once you re-establish three consecutive years' support for Colgate, you will become a member of the 1819 Circle. By making a gift this year, you’ll be well on your way! What are the benefits of 1819 Circle membership? You will be recognized at Colgate events and in Colgate publications; you will receive a special 1819 Circle decal each year. Watch our site for additional benefits coming soon. Is membership based on the amount of my gift? A gift of any size will count towards your 1819 Circle membership. Your gift will make a difference! Do capital and restricted gifts (support designated for particular campus initiatives) count toward membership? Yes! All gifts to Colgate will count towards your 1819 Circle membership. I am already a member of the Presidents’ Club. Can I also be a member of the 1819 Circle? Absolutely! How can I find out if I am a member of the 1819 Circle?
